European Music Project

Philippe Lansac from RCF Lyon offer to all the radio members of ECCR a music project that we have discussed in Eger, Hungary, in 2010.
News from our radios

Dear European colleagues,

All the best to you and your families for the year 2011 !

Sorry for my delay but since I came back from our meeting in Eger, I got swallowed as you might have been, by the intense day to day life of our radio and more recently by a 10 days trip in Brazil for the trip of Cardinal Barbarin, archbishop of Lyon in south America !

But I did not forget the project we discussed together in Eger and here it is : !!

General Idea :

10 European Christian radios share their own cultures and roots through music

Concept :

Once a year, each radio provides the CERC with 4 music tracks :

-2 christian songs that marked the year in its own country

-1 non Christian song that marked the year in its own country

-1 traditional music of one part of its country

In addition to those 4 music tracks, each radio provides a little text that presents in a few words (very shortly) why it has chosen this music, what is the context or any other interesting elements that could be told to introduce the music.

Planning&coordination

-4 songs provided by 10 radios = 40 songs = 1 song broadcasted per week

-start : march 2011

I will gather all the songs, set a year program (1 song per week) and those songs will be available for download on the CERC website.

Important note : each radio provides the musics and do its best to broadcast them, the broadcast part of the project is not compulsory

NEXT STEP !!

  • Each radio send me its  4 songs + text by the 5th of February
  • Format : wav or mp3 256 kb/s
  • Where : on the following FTP site :ftp.proglas.cz, login : cerc, pass word : EccR.672
  • Text to introduce the songs by mail to philippe.lansac@rcf.fr

Thank you so much ! and please take this little time ! it is for the good  of European listeners !!

Take care. God bless you.
