About us

The European Conference of Christian Radios (ECCR), established in Brussels in 1994, groups together at the moment more than 650 commercial or non-profit making radio stations in 15 european countries, mostly set up as nationwide networks.

A common view

The member radios share a common Christian look at the world with a concern:

  • Of promoting democracy and the human rights
  • Of favouring the naissance of a european consciousness and comprehension between peoples, in the direction of a true Christian humanism
  • Of collaborating with the european authorities (European Union and Council of Europe) well as with other national or international organizations working for communication between people, particularly with the Papal Council for Social Communications.
  • Of exchanging experiences between the Christian European radios

  • Reports and commentaries
  • Testimonies, debates and lessons
  • Religious programmes
  • Music programmes.
  • Dialogue with the listeners and open-minded welcome to the minorities are prominent.
